Joining
Who can join?
Anyone who works in or runs a business, from sole traders to large teams, in any industry. Sign up with any email address: work email, Gmail or Outlook.
How much does it cost?
Nothing. MasterMinds is free to join and free to use.
How long does signing up take?
Under a minute. Add your name, your role and the topics you know about, and you can post and help straight away.
Can my colleagues join too?
Yes. Anyone with an email on your business’s domain joins your team automatically. Business admins can add domains and remove people who have left.
My business isn’t in Australia. Can I join?
Yes. Members join from Australia, New Zealand, the UK and elsewhere.
Using MasterMinds
What can I post?
Three kinds of post: ask for help (a supplier, a contact, an answer), offer something you can spare, or start a discussion. You can add files, pictures and up to three topics.
I’m not sure how to word my question.
Use Ask Mas on the new-post screen: explain it in your own words and it writes a clear post for you to check and change before anything is posted.
What are communities?
Groups around an industry, a role or a place, like Logistics, Hospitality or Founders & Owners. Join a few and their posts come first. See the communities.
How much time will it take?
As much or as little as you like. Most people check in for a few minutes over a coffee. You get one email a week, on Monday mornings, and can turn it off.
Is there an app?
Yes. Install it straight from your browser on iPhone, Android or computer: no app store needed. How to install it.
Privacy and safety
Who can see my details?
Other members see your name, role, business, and the posts and replies you write. Your email is never shown publicly; it is only shared with someone when one of you accepts an answer or an offer request.
Can people outside MasterMinds see my posts?
No, posts are for members. If you want to, you can switch on a share link for a post so you can share it on LinkedIn (replies stay members-only).
What stops spam or bad behaviour?
Swearing and offensive language are blocked, photos are checked before they appear, and there are limits on how fast anyone can post. Members can report anything; posts reported by several people are hidden until a moderator reviews them.
