Privacy policy

In plain English: what we collect, why, who it's shared with, and how to see, change or delete it. Last updated 4 November 2026.

Who we are

MasterMinds (master-minds.co) is run by Marsha Levenson (ABN 32 120 119 037), Boyland QLD, Australia. Questions about privacy go to mastermindsco.help@gmail.com. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles.

What we collect

  • Your account: name, email address, role, business name and email domain, time zone, the topics you pick, and anything you add to your profile.
  • Your business number, if you give it, which we check against the official register (the ABR in Australia, Companies House in the UK).
  • What you post: asks, offers, discussions, replies, wins, reactions, polls, files and photos you attach, and reports you make.
  • Brand Boost: what you tell it about your business and what it writes for you.
  • Usage: when you last visited and what you've already seen in your feed, so the daily feed and "since you were last here" work.
  • Email-only subscribers (Problem of the week): just your email address, when you confirmed and when we last emailed you.
  • Brand Boost on WhatsApp (if you use it): we don't store your phone number. We keep a scrambled code made from it, your last business description and the last posts we wrote, for up to 7 days, so follow-ups like "make it shorter" work. If you send STOP we keep the code so we know not to reply.
  • LinkedIn or Facebook connections (if you connect them to post from Brand Boost): an access key from LinkedIn or Facebook, stored encrypted, used only to publish posts you choose to publish. Disconnecting deletes it.

Who can see what

  • Other members see your name, role, business, and the posts and replies you write.
  • Your email address is never shown publicly. It's only shared with one other member when one of you accepts the other's answer or offer request.
  • Shared posts: if a post's share link is on, anyone can read that post (not its replies) at its link, and it may appear on our public pages and in search engines. You can turn the share link off on any of your posts at any time.

Why we use it

  • To run MasterMinds: your account, your feed, posts, replies, introductions and moderation.
  • To send the emails you've asked for (the Monday email, replies and decisions on your posts). You can turn them off on your Profile.
  • To keep the community safe: blocking offensive language, checking photos, rate limits and reviewing reports.
  • To understand which of our ads and pages bring people to MasterMinds (see Cookies).

We don't sell your information, and we don't use it to show you ads inside MasterMinds.

Who we share it with

Only the services that run MasterMinds for us, and only what each one needs:

  • Clerk: sign-in and accounts.
  • Render and Neon: hosting and the database (servers in Singapore).
  • Resend: sending our emails.
  • Anthropic (Claude): the AI behind Brand Boost, Mas's first answers, "Help me write this" and checking photos.
  • Google: ad measurement on our website (see Cookies).
  • Meta (WhatsApp, Facebook) and LinkedIn: only if you message us on WhatsApp or choose to connect and post.
  • The ABR / Companies House: to check a business number you give us.
  • Your browser's push service, if you turn on phone notifications.

Some of these services store or process information outside Australia.

Cookies

We use cookies to keep you signed in and remember settings such as dark mode. Our website also loads Google's ad tag, which measures visits from our Google ads. You can block these in your browser settings.

See, change or delete your information

  • Change your profile, emails and notifications any time on your Profile page.
  • Turn a post's share link off, or delete your own posts, at any time.
  • To delete your account and everything you've posted, email mastermindsco.help@gmail.com from the address you signed up with. We'll confirm and delete it within 30 days.
  • WhatsApp: send STOP to stop replies. Your conversation is deleted automatically after 7 days, or email us to remove it sooner.
  • LinkedIn / Facebook: press Disconnect in Brand Boost, or remove MasterMinds from your LinkedIn or Facebook app settings.
  • Email subscribers: use the unsubscribe link in any email.

You can also ask us for a copy of your information or to correct it. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, contact us first; you can also complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).

Changes

If we change this policy we'll update the date at the top, and tell members by email if it's a significant change. See also our FAQ.
